Toys Calm is dedicated to easing the anxiety of ailing children that goes along with being in the hospital. This foundation will do whatever is necessary to make a child's visit to the hospital more bearable. To this effort, we've raised and delivered over 75,000 toys and raised funds to donate larger items like air hockey tables and our more recent undertaking of purchasing laptop computers. We've donated 54 laptops so far!

The anxiety and great depression that comes with being in the hospital for long stints of time is overwhelming, and can be so profound that digging onesself out seems almost impossible, but Toys Calm knows a little about this feeling because its founder was diagnosed and treated for brain cancer when she was just 12 years old. In fact, that's how this organization started.

It is because Toys Calm has been touched by this world that we want to change it. We try not to intrude on our already over-burdened recipients, but to step in and out of this scary and sometimes painful world as quickly as possible by having social workers and nurses get involved and take an active role in the distribution process.
