** Bring new toys, games, books, dolls, action figures, stuffed animals, movies, and a variety of games and crafts to allow children to fight the boredom and distract them for a time from the more unpleasant aspects of being in the hospital. We also donate laptop computers to allow kids to stay connected to their world via Instant Messaging and the Internet. They will be able to talk to family, friends, and school from the comfort of their own bed if they choose. There is no need for a child to be taken down the hall when a computer is available. They can maintain their comfort, their privacy, and their dignity.
